WFPSC starts a week of actions against the HP, 25 Nov-3Dec '16

Hewlett Packard (HP) is the technology behind the Israeli occupation and oppression of Palestinians and we want to make sure that this is known locally in London and nationwide.

We are lucky to have choices and not many of us would choose to fund an occupation by buying a printer or a laptop.

WFPSC joined the international weeks of actions against the HP by campaignig against the HP on Saturday the 26th in the bustling Walthamstow market outside Rayman's and Argos, both of which have HP produce on their shelves.

We than moved to another big HP seller, John Lewis in London's Oxford Street, brimming with Christmas shoppers.

We handed out hundreds of HP cards explaining HP's role in the occupation of Palestine and asking people to sign a pledge online to boycott HP http://stophp.uk and put pressure on Hewlett Packard to abandon its participation in abuses of human rights of the Palestinians.

On Tuesday the 29th , between 9.30 and 14.00 we will join a London-wide action against the HP who is participating in a trade fayre in the Excel Centre, Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, E16 1XL

Join us if you can - all welcome!

Here are some pictures form our HP actions so far.

Global Week of Action Against HP: 25 November – 3 December 2016

Help us create HP-free Waltham Forest

We associate Hewlett Packard with laptops and printers, but there is a dark side to the HP business.

In Palestine, Hewlett Packard helps the Israeli army and illegal settlers to maintain an oppressive system of occupation and control over all aspects of the lives of Palestinians.
Israel uses HP technology to deny to the Palestinians freedom of movement on their own land, by providing biometric IDs, fingerprinting, and retinal scanning equipment at hundreds of Israel’s checkpoints, critical to Israel’s ability to maintain segregation and apartheid.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is one of the largest contractors of the U.S. defence industry which enables Israel’s deadly blockade of the Gaza Strip and provides services to illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

HP’s dark business is not confined to occupied Palestine. HP companies are notorious for their involvement in oppressive practices worldwide, like providing technology to enable deportations, mass incarceration, and solitary confinement in the United States.

Waltham Forest Palestine Solidarity Campaign (WFPSC) will join the International Week of Actions Against HP.

On the coming Saturday the 26th we will leaflet outside Ryman’s and Argos in Walthamstow market between 11am and 1pm.

Our aim is to ensure that our fellow residents are aware of the real business HP is involved in, and to hopefully create an HP-free Waltham Forest.

At 2pm we will join the London-wide HP protest outside John Lewis in Oxford Street.

Come and join us for a chat, take our publicity and find out more about HP. Sign a pledge to boycott HP for profiting from the violation of human rights.

National Lobby of Parliament for Palestine on Tuesday 15 November

Join Waltham Forest Palestine Solidarity Campaign (WFPSC) activists in the National Lobby of Parliament for Palestine on

Tuesday 15 November 12.00-18.00

The most powerful way to let your MP know you care about Palestine is to request a meeting to discuss it.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset a few days ago "there will not be a more sympathetic government toward settlement than this one"

The UK Government calls Israeli settlements illegal and a barrier to peace. And yet in spite of their words, they have taken no action.

Demand from your MP action against Israel illegal settlements.

Use the link below to find out more about the lobby day and to use MP appointment request template, which can be sent at the click of a button
